Internet Registration & Entry Fee for B, C, D, 80+, 90+, 100+ Flights ONLY

 

EVENTS: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles

 

FLIGHTS: International, B, C, D, 80+, 90+, 100+

· Any player is allowed to play at a higher category – players may not play below their classification level. Partners must play at a category at which the stronger partner is classified as. All USAB rules will apply.

· If you sign up for two flights, and you make it to the semifinals of the higher flight, you will be automatically disqualified from the lower flight.

· No jump in flights. Players registered for multiple doubles or mixed flights must play with same partner.

· Flights 80+, 90+ or 100+. This is a combined age of 90+ years of age. Minimum age to play is 35 years of age. This flight will consist of men’s, women’s and mixed doubles.

· Int’l/B/C/D/80+, 90+ & 100+ Flights will be single elimination with consolation. All matches will be played using the BWF rules of 21x3 rally point scoring system. Consolation Matches will be played using 21x1 rally point scoring system.

 

ELIGIBILITY: The Bay Badminton Championships is open to all players around the world. There are no citizenship requirements. Players must play in their level of skill and not try to play lower. We encourage healthy competition. To enter, contestants must complete this application form and forward it along with the appropriate fees to Bay Badminton Center, postmarked no later than Friday June 24, 2011. No entries will be processed without payment. (No telephone entries will be accepted, faxed entries accepted only with credit card number)

 

CHECK-IN: Check-in will start as soon as the gym is opened. You must present photo I.D when you check in.

• BBC will open at 7:30 am on Saturday, and Sunday for warm-up. Some courts will also be opened on Friday for out of town guests to warm up.

 

• Friday July 8 at 7:00pm: All International Flight Events will start. Check-In 7:00pm.

 

• Saturday, July 9 at 8:00am: B, C and D singles and mixed doubles will start and be completed. 80+/90+/100+

doubles will start and be completed.

 

• Sunday, July 10 at 8:00am: B, C and D doubles will start and be completed. • Court warm-ups will be limited to 3 minutes, with a 5-minute default rule strictly enforced.

 

• Your cooperation in following warm-up/default times will help us avoid tardiness.

 

FEES:

International Flights                                $50 first event, $30 each additional event.

B, C, D, 80+/90+/100+ Flights:            $30 first event, $15 each additional event.

 

No refunds will be given after June 24, 2011

All payments must be included with your entry form or you will not be placed in the draw.

If you play multiple flights, the first event fee applies to each flight.

 

Example: If you enter 3 events (international-Mixed Doubles, B Men's Doubles, & C Mixed Doubles)

Your total fee = $50 + $30 + $30

SHUTTLECOCKS: Shuttlecocks will be provided by Yonex.

 

FOOD: Drinks and snacks will be sold at the Pro-Shop. Outside food must be eaten in the lobby area. No food allowed inside the gym area. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

 

PARKING: We have plenty of onsite and street parking. IMPORTANT: Do not park across the street before 6 P.M on Saturday.

The hotel is only 3 miles from Bay Badminton Center. Special rates are available for the tournament at $105.00 per night. Overnight Parking fees discounted at $6 per night. Please let Hilton Hotel know you are with BBC Championships Event to receive the special rate. Rates are inclusive of free internet, breakfast buffet and complimentary shuttle service to Bay Badminton Center. Waiver and Release of Liability must be signed in order to participate in the tournament.
